Not receiving push notifications on my phone

Asked by Jessica TranJul 10, 2026
I installed the mobile app and signed in, I can see all our incidents in the app. But I never get a push notification when a new incident opens, even though my colleague on the same team does. I have checked that I am in the right organization.

Enabling the permission after the fact usually needs one more step, because the app registers for notifications at sign-in. Please do this: 1. Confirm notifications are allowed in your phone's system settings for the MonoDuty app, including any lock screen and banner options. Also check that battery optimisation or a focus mode is not silencing the app. 2. Sign out of the app and sign back in. This re-registers your device now that the permission is granted, which the earlier session could not do. 3. Verify with a deliberate test rather than waiting for a real incident. Fire a disposable alert trigger, or ask a colleague to open a test incident, and confirm the push arrives. If it still does not arrive after re-registering, the next thing to check is on the workspace side: notifications only reach people through channels that are subscribed to a source. If your colleague is being notified through a channel you are not covered by, that would explain the difference. Let me know and we can look at the subscriptions together.

Hi Jessica, when one person on a team gets pushes and another does not, it is nearly always device-level rather than account-level. Could you check whether notifications are allowed for the app in your phone's system settings? On a first install it is easy to dismiss that prompt without noticing.

You were right, notifications were denied. I have enabled them now but still nothing on the last incident.

Signing out and back in did it. Test alert came through instantly.
